First, I must apologize for not posting a newsletter much sooner. Without
creating any excuses for that, we will just leave it as it is intended to be.
The holidays
are upon us. It is hard to believe that 2007 is almost over. For some of us, it is a welcomed event. 2008
is going to be a year of new beginnings. So, if there is a project that you have been procrastinating, now is a good
time to finish it or at the very least, make it a goal to finish at the beginning of the New Year. I do not profess
to be an astrologer or numerologist; however, I do know a couple of them so if you would like to have an astrology chart or
number chart done for the New Year, please go to the drakemarion@hotmail.com and send me an inquiry. I will be glad to get that information to you. I know that the year 2008 is
going to be filled with optimism and mysticism for many of us.
Also, please remember
that with the holidays fast approaching try not to get bombarded with the consumer fraud side of the holiday.
While it is nice and it feels good to give gifts, do not put yourself in financial despair. The season is about giving.
And, in the spirit of giving, you do not have to go into hock. It is about the giving of one's self.
It is about loving and helping our fellow man and there are many ways to celebrate that. The holidays
(and every day for that matter), should be about loving thy neighbor, sharing a meal with someone who can afford to eat,
or exchanging a pleasant, uplifting comment with a complete stranger. I know that in today's day and age,
with all the uncertainty that is going on in this world, it is hard enough to trust anyone, let alone share a meal with
them. While I empathize with that feeling of uncertainty and lack of trust, it is my holiday wish that if we all
do one kind deed and ask that the person pass it forward, we can make this Holiday season bright for many. You can volunteer
at a food bank, donate to a charity, buy a homeless person some food when you see them wondering the streets.
I advocate safety, which requires scrutiny. However, we cannot walk the face of the earth and turn a blind
eye to all that is wrong in this world and it starts with each and everyone one of us. Imagine if we all just participated
in one small act of kindness and asked for that person to do the same. Like the rippling effect, it would
go out, and out, and out, across our country, then other countries, and the world. It only takes one
small act of kindness to put a smile on someone's face, or to turn their day around.
So, when you are out and about this holiday season, please keep in mind that people tend to
feel overwhelmed and are sometimes crabby. They certainly do not display kindness, which is sad... since that's
what it's all about. But, you do not have to participate in it. Remember to be patient, polite, courteous
and kind.
Remember... positive creates positive. Seeing the positive side to everything
is hard to do. But, once you have mastered that task, you will go through life with joy in your heart.
It's not what happens in your life that counts -- it's how you handle those challenges.
My
holiday and New Year wish for everyone is that you keep your intentions pure of heart. Together we can make
this world a better place to be, one person at a time.
Have a wonderful
holiday season!!!!!
